Day 13: Somewhere I'd Like to Move or Visit

Today's topic is one I've addressed a few times here. I tend to be quite happy where I am... so long as I'm surrounded by friends and family that I love, I really don't mind where I'm living. I currently live in Southern Oregon and Portland seems to be quite an easy transition.

I think it's such a great combination of city life mixed with gorgeous Oregon nature... a crafty little city where I have both friends and family and there are absolutely adorable homes! It does, however, have a few cons. One being that I've always wanted to live on the east coast. I went when I was in high school and absolutely fell in love. I know it would be so hard to move far away from my family, but I absolutely love it there. And I want a snow storm! Haha. So maybe I'll move to Portland, Maine? Or somewhere in Vermont... Who knows?! I just want to be surrounded with people that I care for and that's good enough for me :)

Day 2: Looking to the Future

Where will I be in 10 years?

This is such a tough question for me! I feel that it's incredibly important to set goals for my life and plan ahead to make those goals a reality. However, I also truly think that being flexible and easy-going are quite admirable traits in a person. Life doesn't go as anyone plans it. Ever. Being able to adjust to circumstances is key in moving on in your life. IF life were to go exactly as I'd planned, here's where I might see myself in ten years....

In ten years I'll be 32. Hopefully still doing something that I love. My current job incorporates so many aspects of what I hope to be doing down the line (own my own shop) and is a prime example of how God completely puts you where you belong when you least expect it. I hope to eventually have a little shop filled with goods made by local crafters, have some of my personal handmade goods and mix with vintage, furniture and books. Something of a hodge podge boutique.

I think I'll be somewhere new. Possibly Portland? Perhaps somewhere on the east coast... I've wanted to move there for quite some time, but I happen to be one of those who is happy where I happen to be. Which brings me to my family... At that point I expect that I'd be married. Of course, that isn't a given, but I hope that at that point in my life I'll have found someone worth spending it with. And I'd be willing to live where he's interested in living. Have a home somewhere together. I'd love to have a cute little Victorian house. Or one made of brick. And decorate it in our own kitschy way :)

I think that's about it :)
