Where, Where, Where Have I Been?

Hello everyone! So good to be back! I've been on a semi-permanent hiatus for a while now, and I'm not making any promises about being back or not, but I've really been missing this world lately :) So many many things have changed in my life lately and I feel behind in everyone else's as well! This summer has been COMPLETELY packed. Between work, vacation and, well.... being outside, there hasn't been a whole lot of time for anything else. I even took a break from selling on Etsy for a while there.

In any case, I'm back for the time being. At least until I get completely overwhelmed again. Haha. Update me on your lives! What's been going on?! This is what I've been up to....

(Forgive the ensemble of Instagram photos. I brought my camera NOWHERE this summer.)

Solar Flare

Hello all! My gracious, it's been a long time. As I previously announced (almost a month ago) I've had a lot of big changes in my life lately. Nothing too crazy, but life-altering, nonetheless. About two and a half months ago I finally gave up a job that could easily be viewed as a dream job. It was practically everything I could want... manager, buyer, graphic design, web editing, adorable boutique, creative freedom, etc. The only problem is that I was SO unhappy and couldn't shake it. I finally knew that I had to quit. There was absolutely no other option, so I did just that and I got hired as a waitress two days later! I work almost every day, and never have time for anything like Etsy, blogging or wearing cute outfits, but this weekend was a fantastic exception! This Sunday, here in Southern Oregon, was abuzz with the news of a solar eclipse! It was my day off and I'd been looking forward to it all week :) My best gal, Kala, and I set out to make the perfect day of it. We ate delicious food, played hours of arcade games (I won that awesome slap bracelet with my tickets), bowling, basically just had loads of fun, then went to the greatest park around to see the action. We went in completely unprepared, but saw a couple of folks who'd come down from Eugene and Washington with absolutely the perfect equipment for viewing. They let us borrow these little viewers so we could take in the entire eclipse! Once it was in totality it was viewable to the naked eye, but it was so fun to experience the whole thing. The colors were majestic! Kala and I also determined that eclipse lighting is, without a doubt, the best lighting for photographs. They all look like stills from a movie!
I was so excited to wear this adorable 50s dress I got on eBay just a bit ago. The down side of being a waitress is that I never get to wear my lovely vintage clothing any more. I've got a few select things I like wearing, but I'd hate to ruin one of my dresses for the sake of looking nice on the job :/ In any case, I'm so glad to join up with all of you again and I'd really love to make this AT LEAST a weekly thing. I'm going to try my darnedest, that's for sure :) How are you all doing?! What activities have been occupying you lately??

Vintage Sale!!

Hello everyone! Hope you've all been well :) I have some more exciting news! My best girl, Kala and I have had a little studio space for just over a year now that we use for all of our Etsy needs... photographing, storage, packaging, etc. Well, we finally got around to opening it up to the public for Saturday market (we're right on the same street) and we plan to have vintage sales every weekend this summer! The first one was an absolute BLAST and I think I'll be looking forward to Saturday every week :)

I'm sure it's a long shot, but if anyone is in Southern Oregon, we'd love to have you stop by!

I'm Baaaaccckkk!

Hello all! How exciting is this?! I FINALLY got a computer!!!

Now it's time to play catch up, and although I doubt it'll be sunny enough to post outfit photos any time soon, I've got some ideas to share :) This first post is a VERY belated holiday party from our trip to San Francisco. The only reason I felt that I had to share is that I received this incredible dress in a trade from Kelsie of With Lavender and Lace. It's, in my opinion, a show stopper and I want to wear it every chance I get. Unfortunately, I feel a little fancy in it, so I don't wear it often...

It was such a treat to spend an evening with these ladies! Ashley of Fancy Fine was so sweet and showed us a great time on our visit. We had the pleasure of meeting Rachel of Mousevox for just a bit and she was amazing. So so sweet! Also, Jen & Annalise of Hummingbird Girls. They were just the best hostesses and SO welcoming :) All together, it was SUCH a blast! I'll see you all soon! Well wishes!

San Francisco: Part II

Hello again! Just wanted to drop by and share some photos from Renegade which, I know, are very overdue... Sorry about that. Life has been bonkers around these parts! Aside from the fact that I've not had a computer for the past few months, which is on it's way soon!!!! I couldn't be more excited :D In any case, I did want to get around to sharing my booth at Renegade so you can all see! Unfortunately, I'm making crazy crooked faces in every photo, but you get the idea...

Thanks for sticking with me and my lack of blogging! I'll get back soon, promise! In the meantime, I hope you're all doing well :)

San Francisco: Part I

Hello all! I know my posts are going to be all out of whack here, but I wanted to start sharing some of the fun I had in San Francisco last week! I'm starting with a day out on the town. Kala and I had already finished up with Renegade and got to stick around for a few days of fun! On this particular day, we enjoyed lunch, smoothies and did a ton of shopping around the Mission District.

What I Wore:
This lovely dress was borrowed from Kala!
Tapestry Coat: Thrifted
Shoes: Etsy
Boots: Dolce Vita
Rings: Swap Meet
Watch: Nixon
Necklace: Fox & Burrow
Purse: Dooney & Bourke

After a long day, we settled into a karaoke bar downtown with the lovely Ashley of Fancy Fine. She was positively remarkable! It was my first time ever doing karaoke and most likely my last. Haha. Not exactly my thing, but such a great time!

This dress was borrowed from my best girl and I have been on the hunt for a similar one for ages! It's one of my absolute favorites... the simplest little thing, blue with swiss dots... it's lovely. If you see one around, let me know!

Exciting Announcement!!!

Hello all! Thanks so much for bearing with my awful blogging habits. I am absolutely SWAMPED lately and a little in over my head. In any case, as I mentioned before, my best girl Kala and I got accepted to the Holiday Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco! It's both exciting and daunting, since it's only two weeks away and I'm not nearly ready. I just wanted to give you all a peek of my new jewelry line, Fox & Burrow!

I'm making everything from recycled leather, vintage and handmade charms and loads of chain. I've made jewelry for quite some time now, but it's so fulfilling to make a product that I think I would actually buy if someone else were selling it. I'd love to get your feedback! What you like or dislike... this is still in the works and I'm figuring things out as I go :)

Kala is selling these incredible feather earrings and hair pieces that sold like hot cakes last year. They're made with naturally molted feathers and each one is completely unique!

I'm so excited to see what the fair holds for us, and we're even having a holiday blogger party while we're visiting! We'd love to see any of you California ladies while we're there! The fair is December 17th & 18th and the information is as follows...

I'd love any feedback you've got for me! Thanks!!
