San Francisco: Part I

Hello all! I know my posts are going to be all out of whack here, but I wanted to start sharing some of the fun I had in San Francisco last week! I'm starting with a day out on the town. Kala and I had already finished up with Renegade and got to stick around for a few days of fun! On this particular day, we enjoyed lunch, smoothies and did a ton of shopping around the Mission District.

What I Wore:
This lovely dress was borrowed from Kala!
Tapestry Coat: Thrifted
Shoes: Etsy
Boots: Dolce Vita
Rings: Swap Meet
Watch: Nixon
Necklace: Fox & Burrow
Purse: Dooney & Bourke

After a long day, we settled into a karaoke bar downtown with the lovely Ashley of Fancy Fine. She was positively remarkable! It was my first time ever doing karaoke and most likely my last. Haha. Not exactly my thing, but such a great time!

This dress was borrowed from my best girl and I have been on the hunt for a similar one for ages! It's one of my absolute favorites... the simplest little thing, blue with swiss dots... it's lovely. If you see one around, let me know!

Floral Daze

Hello all! Sorry I never got around to posting a birthday wish list. I am really slacking here lately! Haha. I have just been in so many places at once, I truly have had no time to focus on this. For instance, I'm heading to Southern California within the next 24 hours and I'm hardly prepared. I just had to take a moment to share these photos! My best girl, Kala, and I had a fun day of thrifting this past Friday that ended up taking me surprise in so many ways. We started at an estate sale, where I found a lot of five 1950s Girl Scout uniforms. So fun! Lots of other little things were found, but those were the highlight of my day, along with a haul of deadstock Sears pants from the 60s and 70s. Tags attached and all.

As we headed back, we stopped by a yard sale, where we got to talking with the home owners. After a bit of banter about Pennsylvania, the Steelers and pasta, we ended up eating with these people on their porch. It was a strange happening, but absolutely a blast. Finally, we stopped by a local u-pick farm for a bundle of flowers.

What I Wore:
Dress: Vintage, Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted that very day
Vintage Slip
Thrifted Sisal Bag

This dress is one I've had for ages and just never got around to photographing it for the shop. Well, last week I finally got around to modeling it, but as I put it on, Kala and her mother convinced me that it absolutely could not be sold. They were so right. I'm in love. Well hopefully I'll be back soon with some sort of update for you all! We'll just see how this trip goes and where my time is when I get back :) Hope you all have a great weekend!

The Perfect Best Friend Day

Hello all! This past week of work turned out just perfectly, giving me a four day weekend. It was some much needed time off and I have enjoyed every bit of it :) Friday was the absolute perfect girl day with my best friend, Kala! She called in the morning and said that her mom had spotted an incredible estate sale that we had to go to. We met up, took the forty minute drive and ended up in the most magical home on earth. It was a few miles past my childhood home and SO many memories came rushing back driving around out there :)

After the incredible estate sale, we headed over to a little ghost town around the corner. It's all of three buildings and they say it's the only ghost town remaining in Southern Oregon. Of course, we had to snap some best friend shots :)

What I Wore:
Dress: Vintage
Belt: Gap, Thrifted
Shoes: Kenneth Cole, Thrifted
Tiara: Found at the Estate Sale!

It seemed that everything went absolutely perfectly! I love every moment spent with my best girl and we got to spend the day together yesterday as well :) I'll be back soon with my estate sale finds and hopefully a couple of big shop updates this week!

Favorite Dress

Hello all! First, I'd like to welcome all of my new followers! I hope you all stick around and enjoy :)

After work this evening I got to spend some time with one of my very best friends, Markie, from back in high school. Though we live fairly close, we've not seen each other in quite a while and it was such a blast! We headed back to a few of our old photography locations to take some outfit photos, but they were all either far too dark, or different and boring. We headed out to find a nice spot and we stumbled upon this cute little farm...

What I Wore:
Dress: Go International, Target
Sandals: Forever 21
Bracelet: Vintage

I think this dress of mine is one of my personal best. I got it at Target a couple of years back and it's the easiest thing to throw on with no accessories, but still feel super cute. I got ready in 20 minutes this morning! Also, this is one of my favorite dresses of hers! It's so flattering and simple, but absolutely perfect on her :)

See you all tomorrow!

Oregon Summer

Hello all! So this will be my first post in a series of three that will tell you all where I've been over the past week :) Sort of starting from most recent and working my way back... So today I got to head out with Kala and take some outfit photos since it was my first day to relax in weeks. We headed out to this cute little place around the corner from her house with loads of locations for photos...

When I got dressed this morning, it was suuuper hot and sunny. I even got a sunburn when I was out for a couple of hours this morning. Then, when we headed out to take outfit photos it started raining... of course. Because I live in Oregon. So I had to throw on a sweater, but I actually feel that it completed the outfit quite nicely.

What I wore:
Dress: Vintage, Prada
Sweater: Vintage, Thrifted
Hat: Vintage, Thrifted
Shoes: Michael Kors
Ring: Vintage, Vintage Paige

The last little piece of news today, is that my destroyed little thumb nail is finally grown out again! I won't turn your stomachs with before and after photos, but I finally gave myself a little manicure and I'm ready to show off my nails and jewelry again!

I'll see you all tomorrow with another update post :)

My Favorite Day

Hello all! Well yesterday started out as... not my favorite day ever. It's "Boatnik" time of year around these parts, which is absolutely the last thing I want to be doing... it's sort of like the fair. But all about boats. And boat races. And things that aren't fun for anyone but my dad (who, by the way, designs and builds boats for a living). It also means that the trashy people of Southern Oregon all collect together in one park that's not nearly big enough for all of them. Oh yeah. And there's a parade.I typically make it up to Portland Memorial Day weekend so I don't have to deal with it all, but it just so happens I'm going up next week and couldn't do two weekends in a row.

After all that setup for the worst day ever, I had such a great time! I started with a very busy day at the boutique. There were so many great out-of-towners that I had a blast talking to. Then I went out to dinner at one of my favorite spots with my baby sister, where she told me that there was a PETTING ZOO at the park. I went bonkers. We rushed over, where I literally spent the rest of my evening. It was only $2 to stay as long as you wanted and I chose to stay until they closed. Mostly in thanks to the precious deer that followed me around chewing on my clothes and hair the entire time. It made my lifetime and totally confirmed my love for the beauties. Enough writing. Time for photos. Get ready for cuteness...

So cute, right?! It was such a blast. I think I'm going back tonight. Or tomorrow. Maybe all day :)

What I wore:

Tunic: Old Navy
Jacket: Element Anorak
Scarf & Necklace: My place of work
Bracelet: Aguiniga Design
Boots: Dolce Vita
